UniSat Bitcoin Wallet Unveils New Hybrid Trading Engine "Hexa"

Bitcoin wallet UniSat has launched Hexa, a hybrid trading engine designed to provide a seamless trading experience while ensuring self-custody. The new platform combines the decentralized control of self-custody with the streamlined user experience typically found in centralized exchanges, making it a significant step forward for Bitcoin users.

Announced on Feb. 19, 2025, Hexa allows users to trade a wide variety of Bitcoin assets, including BRC-20 tokens, Runes, Taproot Assets, and native stablecoins. Thanks to its protocol-agnostic design, the platform is compatible with numerous asset types without restrictions, offering access to the top 100 Bitcoin assets listed on the UniSat marketplace.

Security and transparency are at the core of Hexa’s functionality. All transactions are recorded on the blockchain, and the platform maintains an up-to-date order book in the mempool for verifiability. Additionally, Hexa offers permissionless access, enabling users to trade freely without restrictions.

Hexa operates on Fractal Bitcoin, an innovative blockchain infrastructure built to optimize trading performance. UniSat claims that Fractal Bitcoin increases block space by 20 times and reduces transaction confirmation times to just 30 seconds, greatly improving both speed and efficiency.

UniSat’s push to increase the usability and liquidity of Bitcoin assets doesn’t stop with Hexa. The company is also working on a BRC-20 swap module for the Bitcoin mainnet, expected to be completed by 2025, which will offer even more trading options for users.

To expand its ecosystem, UniSat has integrated with several popular wallets and services. Users can now trade and inscribe Bitcoin assets through platforms like Magic Eden, Phantom, OKX, and Xverse. Additionally, UniSat has partnered with MoonPay, allowing users to purchase Bitcoin directly through the UniSat interface, further enhancing accessibility for new and seasoned Bitcoin users alike.
