CleanSpark, a prominent Bitcoin mining company, has been named a strong “buy” and one of the top investment options for 2025 in a recent report by H.C. Wainwright & Co.
The company marked its fifth anniversary on the Nasdaq during an investor day event in New York City on January 27. CleanSpark, which entered the Bitcoin mining industry in December 2020, has swiftly grown into a leading player by capitalizing on its expertise in energy and microgrid development, according to H.C. Wainwright analysts.
During the event, CleanSpark’s management outlined its key strategy, which focuses on a counter-cyclical investment approach—expanding during market downturns—and targeting rural areas with access to low-cost energy. This strategy has helped the company scale rapidly.
Key Metrics and Future Goals
Currently, CleanSpark operates 31 data centers with over 900 megawatts of contracted power and a deployed hash rate of 39 exahashes per second (EH/s), a critical metric for Bitcoin mining. CleanSpark is ranked among the top three Bitcoin miners based on metrics like hash rate, production, and operational efficiency.
Looking ahead, the company reaffirmed its goal of reaching 50 EH/s by mid-2025, a milestone achieved by only one other publicly traded North American miner. To support this target, CleanSpark has secured funding through a $650 million convertible note issuance and is actively pursuing new projects in Tennessee and Wyoming, along with favorable deals for mining equipment.
Analysts’ Outlook
H.C. Wainwright & Co. has set a price target of $27 for CleanSpark’s stock, which is currently trading at $10.25. Analysts are optimistic about the company’s future, citing its strategic growth and position in the Bitcoin mining industry. CleanSpark is seen as a compelling option for investors looking to capitalize on Bitcoin’s upside potential.
With its strong operational metrics and strategic vision, CleanSpark remains one of the top players to watch in the Bitcoin mining sector this year.
